Adaze Marketplace ("we," "us," or "the Platform") is committed to protecting the privacy of our users. This policy outlines how we collect, use, and safeguard personal data in compliance with the Kenya Data Protection Act (2019).

2. Data We Collect

• Identity Data: Full name, username, and national ID (where required for verification).
• Contact Data: Phone number (primary for M-Pesa transactions) and email address.
• Transaction Data: Details of payments made for Listing Units via the M-Pesa/Daraja API. Note: We do not store your M-Pesa PIN.
• Location Data: Physical store addresses and operational hours for Importers and Sellers.
• Role-Specific Data: Vehicle type and service areas for Transporters.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To facilitate the purchase and tracking of Listing Units (24 KES / 24 Units model).
• To enable communication between Buyers, Sellers, and Transporters.
• To display Seller/Importer store locations to nearby Buyers for "Order & Pick-up" convenience.

4. Data Sharing

We share your information only when necessary to complete a trade:

• Buyers will see Seller store locations and contact info.
• Sellers will receive Buyer contact details once an "Interest Notification" or WhatsApp inquiry is triggered.
• Transporters will receive delivery details to fulfill logistics.

5. Data Subjects' Rights

Under the Data Protection Act, you have the right to:

• Access your personal data.
• Correct inaccurate information in your profile.
• Request the deletion of your data ("The Right to be Forgotten").
• Withdraw consent for marketing communications.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data as long as your account is active. Expired listing data is retained for historical reporting in the Admin Dashboard but may be archived after 12 months.
